One highlight of settling into my summer was using the Mother’s Day gift Lizzy gave me to get a fabulous pedicure.
After a few days of luxuriously basking in no school at home, we took off for the beach. We stayed in a hotel halfway there, in which the kids were thrilled to have a room right across the atrium from the glass elevators.

And then the lovely beach.
Whiskey made flying a kite, a skill at which I have never succeeded, look easy.
 |
| So simple a 3-year-old can do it! |
 |
| Also he ate some mysterious blue lollipop thing bought at the same sketchy gas station where they got the wildly successful kites |

| Aunties covering up not for sun but for cold! |

 |
| Everyone likes to hold this little babe |

| Beach makes us happy! |
