We headed to the hills for a family visit.
Uncle Kevin was in charge of arranging Fun Family Hikes.

We went back to the condo for a lunch break after the waterfall adventure. Here, my immediate family’s happy place: tv and Cheez-Its.
Hike #2 was a 2 on the Uncle Kevin difficulty scale; 9 on the Miller family scale.
We did make it, though.
And what a view!
*Some* family members hiked onward and upward from the lookout point, while others magnanimously volunteered to go back with Melanie, who was in charge of making dinner that night. Those certain volunteers may or may not have felt supremely satisfied with their choice even before the adventure party returned late with near-exhaustion and bee stings.
Besides, we took a quick dip accidental slipping into the river that was marked “no swimming” at the base of the mountain before heading home to rest and not get stung by bees.
