Chloe and the money guy

Chloe kindly asked me to take her senior photos this fall and we had our session last week the day after volleyball wrapped up. I’m pleased with how they turned out.

Lizzy was an absolutely indispensable assistant, finding flower props for Chloe to hold.

Jason and I started meeting with a financial advisor. After the first meeting, he advised us that he would be giving us a “formal proposal” at the second meeting, which we have now had. I guess we’re not formally engaged yet though seeing as we haven’t yet signed the 200 pages of paperwork.

Also stealthily and repeatedly showering her with falling leaves on the count of three.

Besides a couple hundred pages of legalese waiving our protection from complete pecuniary ruin by a man we’ve recently met, we have spent a number of hours discussing and filling out the budget calculations as well as the “needs, wants, wishes” section, including questions like Do you want to travel in retirement? Are you concerned about the potential cost of a nursing home? And How long do you expect to live?

I’m starting to think there’s a reason he scheduled our next meeting so far out.
