OBX nothing

Jason and I went out early another morning to see the sunrise.

We were somewhat stymied by cloud cover.

We've agreed--having been home now for a week and a half--that the best thing about the beach week was how time slowed down almost to standstill.  We'd be sitting out on the beach for what felt like hours and hours of blissful inactivity and then realize it was only 1:00.

At home it's this--that--this--that--hurry--get-it-done--one-more-thing--another--bed!  And where did the day go?  So much to do, always.

The clouds stuck around all day and a blustery wind picked up.  Sitting at the beach watching Caleb play got me sandblasted in my chair before I decided to go in.

Jason and the other guys fought through the waves to try and boogie, despite the powerful cross-current that landed them all the way down the beach.

It turned out to be a great day for playing games inside and curling up near the beachfront picture window with a book.

Another day we woke up to wild horses visiting our house pool.

What bliss to have utterly Nothing To Do.  It's absolutely my favorite thing to do on vacation.
