We stayed in the cabin Thursday and Friday, in which Jason worked, we did school, Maddie actually went to school, and Jeddy alone enjoyed a full fall break.
On Saturday, however, we slept in very late and spent the afternoon playing. (Ada was on retreat with the youth group so she didn’t play with us until Sunday night.)
After a rousing round of go-karts we played 18 holes of mini golf.
It was such a beautiful course and a beautiful afternoon.
And then we started realizing the light was perfect for selfies.
Liz and Caleb loved exploring the woods around the cabin and it was another beautiful evening when I tromped out to see what they’d found.
It was a wonderfully fun and cozy weekend and a special treat to spend it with Jed and Maddie—neither of whom have run away from us yet, since both came the very next weekend to help celebrate October/November girls’ birthdays.
