This is the first year we’ve put up the tree without Jeddy since he was six months old.
The acquisition of this year’s tree coincided with the acquisition of a new TV, seen below, newly hung.
The new TV was necessary because of the present Jason and I have ordered for each other for Christmas, which is a Lovesac couch.
The Lovesac may or may not arrive before Christmas, but since we went all out and bought the maximum number of seats that can possibly ever fit inside our house or anyone else’s house, the TV on a stand had to go. It has been replaced by a Frame TV which hangs on the wall and is approximately one inch thick.

I have moderate anxiety that we’ve ordered a massive (and massively expensive) couch in a fabric of my choosing that I may hate as soon as it’s in my living room.
Jason naively pointed out that we got a neutral couch color and our living room is also neutral, as if all neutrals are compatible.
We will, however, be replacing our wretched old couches which are a combination of items we bought new 18 years ago and one that I impulse-bought off the side of the road some years later.
The TV that has been replaced is currently leaning against the wall in the hallway, waiting to replace the broken TV in the playroom, which means we also need to get rid of the massive TV stand that it’s sitting on.

I spent an afternoon making a precise 1:17 scale replica of our great room and current furniture, not counting the couches we are hopefully soon to be rid of. The anxiety needed an outlet. |
I’m thinking maybe I should’ve asked Santa for a strongman and haul-away service.
